All the children in the world regardless of their race, religion or ethnicity have the right to education.
Handicapped children and particularly those with a hearing impairment have a need for education because they lack the ability to communicate with members of their family and others within their environment.
In Mali, parents of deaf children are not interested in communicating with their deaf children. Due to this they suffer internally.
Fortunately, a school has been established that suits the needs of the deaf children in Bamako. It is here that their talents are discovered, their desire to learn and particularly their yearning to communicate with others.
Holiday or not, vacation or not, teacher or not, this school never entirely closes its doors. Constantly the deaf children are present to exchange information, discuss and play.
